Life Skills For Youth Program

The challenges faced due to poverty in our community has led us to educate the youth on need of life skills. These are the skills they need to use when dealing effectively with the challenges in everyday life, whether at school, at work or in their personal lives.

Its importance is to enable the youth to cope with the increasing pace and change of modern life. Youth need new life skills such as the ability to deal with stress, frustration and peer pressure.

St. Michael Community Centre provides skill enhancing programs for the youth of our community such as programs that help children and teenagers to be more effective in meeting challenges in life, and preparing them for their future.

Life Skillls Education covers important areas  like :-

  • Self-awareness
  • Understanding their sexuality
  • Peer pressure
  • Drugs & Alcohol Abuse abstinence
  • Developing healthy relationships
  • Leadership skills
  • Dealing with negative thoughts & emotions
  • Addictions
  • Stress
  • Anger and Time Management [ATM]
  • Career guidance after their ‘O’ Level

At St. Michael Community Centre  we organize training sessions with schools  within the County.

When you partner or support us, you enable us to hire qualified personnel who are able to deliver specific life skill content to various age groups of the youth.

In this way we will change the teen youth from the poor of our community to prepared for their future with confidence.
